The Fight Navigator program was evaluated as a pilot prevention program with approximately 20 teenage boys attending a summer program in Cambridge, MA. Participants were given a vignette to read about a potential fight and then, asked questions about the situation both before and after they participated in the Fight Navigator workshop. Analyses of the results indicated that after participating in the Fight Navigator workshop, participants were better able to recognize potentially threatening situations and generate a wider range of responses to manage these threats without having to resort to violence (Barrett, Pollack,Janopaul-Naylor, So & Teran, in preparation).
